The Tepas VacuMat mats provide extra resistance to slipping of the workpiece without glue residues etc., sticking to the workpieces. As well as extra clamping force, the Tepas VacuMat also enables workpieces to be fully cut through. On a vacuum chuck with sealing cord outside the vacuum sealed zone. On a vacuum chuck with micro holes or porous clamping surface over the entire workpiece.

How it works

Use with GridChuck grid vacuum chucks:

Machining of simple shapes. In simple patterns, the areas of cut-through can be separated from the vacuum sealed zone with the sealing cord.

Use with TPC and TUC vacuum chucks

In the vacuum chucks with micro holes and the vacuum chucks with microporous clamping surface, the vacuum sealed zone can be self determined. By opening the mat where vacuum is required, you can decide exactly where there should and shouldn't be a vacuum.

Machining of more complex shapes

In more complex shapes, a workpiece-specific adapter plate will offer a solution.

Standard vacuum mat without adhesive layer.

Vacumat S

Vacuum mat with adhesive layer.

When changing workpieces, the VacuMat without an adhesive layer will have to be continually repositioned on the vacuum chuck. The VacuMat-S has a semi-permanent adhesive layer which is slightly resistant to emulsion. When changing workpieces, the mat remains adhered to the vacuum chuck.
