How it works

The air-permeable clamping surface reduces high vacuum leakages, whereby the vacuum pump is able to create a vacuum.

Only without emulsion

These vacuum adapter plates cannot be used for machining with emulsion or other fluids. The porosity of the air-permeable clamping surface is too small, it would become blocked.

The benefits

  • Very high flatness of the clamping surface in µm range is possible.
  • No deformation of the workpiece as there are no grooves or holes in the clamping surface.
  • With the Tepas VacuMat and PerfoMat, a very wide range of applications is possible.
  • Microporous clamping surfaces are water-resistant, however coolant can seal the surface meaning there is no longer a vacuum. Therefore, do not use a coolant emulsion but machine dry.
